Graduation Girl

Hello and welcome to my little crafting corner. This is my weekly showcasing for Sister Act Card Challenge-an anything goes challenge blog. This week we're being sponsored by Digi Stamp Characters. I used Graduation Girl. My little girl is getting close to finishing up Kindergarten and I thought about giving her this card. Sniff, sniff!

Vintage Flowers

Good Morning! Happy Friday and Happy "SpringIsOnIt'sWay!" :) Can you tell I'm ready?

This week at SACC, we're being sponsored by Papers and Petals. This is a new sponsor to us and they have a variety offered in their store: handmade flowers, paper, gifts, scrapbooking tools and supplies. You'll definitely wanna go check them out. 

  

I was able to work with some of their handmade flowers and I was impressed. They were very nicely done with attention to details. I chose to give my card a vintage flair because the flowers reminded me of that. I used Cottage Chic Flowers in two different sizes.

I may or may not have almost caught my card on fire. I used some of that frantage and while I was using my embossing gun, it started to smoke. HA! The wooden embellishments, birds nest, and ribbon all came from Micheals. I embossed the background and then inked over the raised lettering.

Happy Friday, Everyone! Rumor has it there are only 12 days until spring...Wahoo!!! Bring it on! :)

This week at Sister Act Card Challenge, we're being sponsored by MilkCoffee. She has some super adorable digi images and I used Lisbeth and Little Bunnies.

I decided to give dark hair a try. I think I like it...at least it's different from the usual brown color combo I always use.

I never did get my card posted from last week. Good grief! So, I'll post it up here, as well.

I tried to use some of the frantage, but I didn't have the right stuff to adhere it. It was a little interesting to say the least. I bought some ink, so hopefully that will work better.

Rainy Days

Good Morning! Hope you all had a great week. Wow, February 2014 already! I'm sure by now you have your new stash of toys from Christmas broke in. Any favorites that I should know about? ;)

This week, we're being sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls. We've been sponsored by them once before and I'm sure you've seen them floating around in blogland. Lots of fun and cute kiddo images. I can relate to a lot of them. I used Rainy Day Owen. I'm sure my son would be thrilled if I let him play out in the rain! 

Used paper and stickers from basicgrey. I think the set is retired as I got them on clearance at Jo-Ann's. I paper pieced his rain suit, but you can't really tell in the picture. It has some faint stripes to it.
