Vintage Christmas

Took advantage of nap time today and made a Christmas card (even turned on Christmas music). It's taking a lot of will power to not turn on the festive tunes all the time! :) I. must. refrain. LOL!

My first thought was that this image was going to take forever to color, but it went quicker than I thought. She is from Sarah Kay. I was inspired by this card. The dp is from Reminisce, ribbon from Ribbon Boutique, twine from Celebrate It!, and glitter swirls from K & Company. Flowers are a variety from my stash.

Blog candy for my followers. This is just the rubber. It is not mounted. Just leave a comment.

Digital Tuesday Challenge-Coral and Kraft

Happy Tuesday!

This week at Digital Tuesday Challenge we'd like to see the colors Kraft/Tan and Coral. My coral color isn't popping through very well, but it's on the papers (American Crafts-Neapolitan). They're really light. I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday. The image is from Di's Digi Downloads (Little Lou with Duck).

Christmas Joy

Yahoooooooooo! It's Friday. I may be a SAHM, but I love it just the same because we get to have our dear hubby/daddy with us more.

Not going to share much, just a quick card. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

I did cut out the pendant by hand, but I believe Magnolia has a similar die.

Thinking of You

Hiya!!! Trust you all had a fantastic weekend. We went to a steam-show which really "thrilled my heart." :) My hubby has done that all his life and hasn't been able to do as much since the real world hit and life requires a little more responsibility. I enjoyed being with my little family, but I came away literally a "redneck." LOL!

This week at Digital Tuesday Challenge Maya made a sketch for us to follow. I turned mine to the side. Stitchy Stamps is sponsoring us.
The sentiment was made digitally using the font Shonar Bangla. The punches are Martha Stewart and most of the flowers came from Micheals Recollections. I believe the paper is basicgrey. Tilda is colored with copics.

Ava

I've seen her images all over cardland, but I had yet to use one. She has some freebie digi's, so thought I'd try them out. Lots of details, so they're not a quick color, but it was sure fun! :) Her hair reminds me of my daughters...falling out of her braid.

The paper is an old pack I've had for awhile from DCWV-Citrus Stack. The twine is from My Mind's Eye and the flowers are a variety from my stash. The gemstones come from Michaels and I printed the sentiment off of the computer.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday, but I twisted my image block.

Don't forget to sign up for my blog candy. It goes until Aug 23rd.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Hi everyone,
Every time I write a post for Digital Tuesday Challenge, I realize this year is flying by!!!! It seems I just wrote last week's post. Could someone please find the pause button? :)

This week's challenge is Child's Play...we wanna see images with children. Pink Gem is our generous sponsor. Ya gotta go check them out! The image below is from them and isn't he a cutie? He's called School Boy Philip and comes colored or uncolored. I chose to use the colored version as I have plans to make these treats for my jr church class. There is a girl version, as well.

Don't forget...I have blog candy!!

Get Well Soon Tilda

I went through great pain making this card (literally)! I don't know if anyone else has trouble with their Cuttlebug and getting enough padding in to emboss the Spellbinders, but I do. I added some and tried to get it to go through, but it was too tight. However, before I realized what was happening, the handle let go and kicked back hitting my knuckle. I almost thought I broke my finger. YOWZERS!!

The papers are from BasicGrey-pb&j. I made the handmade flower with a Sizzix die. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. Printed the sentiment on the computer.

Recipe for Digital Tuesday Challenge

I think I might have created a "monster." My almost 4 yr old daughter has discovered "making cards." She loves to color and glue her images to a pile of scrap card stock. She usually completes about 20 to my 1. ;) It takes a little longer to make a card, but oh-how. I. love. it!!!!!!!! We're not just making cards, but memories.

This week at Digital Tuesday Challenge we have a recipe to follow:
1 image
2 papers
3 flowers
4 gems.

We have a great sponsor this week as usual. My Grafico is giving away 1 digital stamp set and 20% off an order in store. WOW! They have some cute ones, so be sure to check them out.

I chose to make my sentiment digital. The image is Magnolia and I sure wish I had her. I got her in a swap, but I used to teach before my kiddos came along, so she seems like one I need to have. LOL! The paper is by Crate Paper-School Spirit Collection. The chipboard embellishments are from K & Company, twine from My Mind's Eye, and flowers came from ebay. The card was made for a teacher friend and I wanted to encourage her that God will be with her this year.

Just a Little Note

Phew! What a day! I think sometimes our emotions/thoughts give us a whole lot more workout than a 10 mile run would...makes us as tired, too. Trying to push it all aside and let God take control. Ya know, that's a whole lot easier to say than do?! :)

I saw this image on Stamping a Latte's site and knew I needed it. (The layout was also inspired by her as well. You know how you see something and like it, but it turns out nothing like theirs???) There are several violin players in my family, so when I found it at a local shop, I picked her up.

I'm fairly certain the paper is from My Mind's Eye. The roses are from The Paper Studio.

I recently won a challenge that gave me a $25 e-certificate to Simon Says Stamp. *Insert happy dance.* Got the package in the mail and I ordered some of the Neenah card stock that many use. I usually just use Walmart's card stock, so I'm gonna see how much of a difference it makes. The price is sure different! LOL  I'll let you know what I think.
