Digital Stamp Oasis 1st Card
Ellie has a great sketch over on her blog and is offering blog candy to the winner! The catch is...you have to use something digital on your card. This image is one of the digi downloads she offers! Isn't it cute?!?!?! I know I'm going to have a lot of fun coloring her adorable images! What are you waiting for...go check them out!!!
G is for Glitter...
Was raining earlier this morning, but I see the sun has come out...may have to take a walk when nap time is over.
ABC's Challenge this week was to use glitter. Not too complicated, huh! That's just what I need for this fuzzy brain! :) I decided to add some Stickles to the flowers!
This little Tilda reminds me of a little girl waiting to leave for church Easter Sunday and she was instructed by her mother to not get "messed up." So, here she sits waiting patiently...(I believe my sister and I were told this many times on Sunday morning!!!)Supplies:
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear from you!

Get Well/Friday Sketcher
We are experiencing Spring and I AM LOVIN' IT!
There is a great sketch over at Friday Sketchers! I can't tell you what my image is, b/c it's from a stash that I got from my SIL. Isn't it adorable? I wanted bright & cheery colors, because when you're sick, you must think "happy thoughts!" :) (Check out the stitching...kinda looks like what's on a heart monitor?!?!)

You're Special
Recipe from Cute Card Thursday:
"Take something ripped; 2 papers and 4 embellishments BUT there's a twist - four embellishments means ONLY four. A two-layered flower with a charm/spacer and a brad for example would count as ALL of your embellishments, so choose them wisely!"
I decide to "rip" my papers and go for a vintage look! Let me tell ya, ripping them to fit isn't the easiest thing in the world. I also wanted to use more embellishments, but stuck to the limit!! Yay me! :)As you can see, I paper-pieced Lilly's dress to match. Then I wrote "You're Special" with a brown marker and highlighted it with a green Copic. Added Stickles to her wings.

Getting Ready for Easter
What???? No designed paper?!?!?! AAAGGGHHHH!!!!! I love my paper, but a challenge is a challenge!!! I made it through without it killing me too! :)
I tried to make it look like a scene...sky, grass, clouds, flowers, butterflies, and more eggs. If you look closely at the green, you'll see where I cut the paper to make it look like grass.

Time Well Spent/2 in 1
I was able to use one of my new High Hopes stamps today! I've had them for a little bit, but then I didn't have the stuff to mount them. After "patiently" waiting, I finally was able to make a card with this cute little guy!
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and added some zig-zag to qualify for the High Hopes challenge.
Not really sure why I've been into making boy cards recently! I live in a mostly "girl's world." :)Sorry the picture isn't the greatest...I'm hoping to get a new camera soon!

Cute Card Thursday
I have to admit, when I first saw this sketch I was a little skeptical! (Nothing against the designer, but it was so out of my league!) However, that's what these challenges are all about...getting out of your comfort zone sometimes!
A little side note about the crocheted flower-I had seen flowers like this is stores, but couldn't make myself pay what they were asking. My husband's aunt is very quick with her hands and is always making nifty little things that I could NEVER do! So, I emailed her a picture to see if she could make them and VOILA! I got a couple of red ones in the mail. Perfect...So, I begged for more! :) Next thing I know, I got an assorted dozen roses delivered! THANKS NINA!!!

Relaxin'
Decided to do a boy card, so that means no flowers, no glitz, no flourishes! Aagghhh! I love all those things...
Used another cute digi download from Grab-A-Doodle-Do. I cut him out and popped him up to the blue background. However, I thought it needed something, so I cut out a cloud as well. Went with the sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar, all except the flowers. I wrote "celebrate" with a dark blue and then used a light Copic to shadow it. Made the frog shiny with Crystal Effects.

Sitting Amongst the Flowers
I was able to get in a card today following sketch saturday. I am so loving pink and green together, but decided to add 3 little yellow flowers for a contrast. It's hard to see in the picture, but I ran my larger flowers through the Cuttlebug to give them a textured look.
I've had this Tilda colored for quite awhile, but didn't know quite how to use her. So, after seeing other gals do this, I had her sit in the box. This made me have to move the sketch's embellishments around a little bit. I opted for no text on the front.

Moovalous Birthday
This card is a 2for1: Penny Black and Mojo Monday. I heat embossed the image and then water colored it. Added some machine stitching, but it's kinda hard to see in the picture. The white and black swirled paper was made using my Cuttlebug. I colored over the raised parts.
Supplies:
Supplies:
- Image: Penny Black
- Coloring: Stampendous Ink
- Paper: DCWV (?)
- Accessories: Cuttlebug, Swirl Embossing Folder, Ribbon, White gel pen, Sewing Machine, Heat Gun
Down by the banks...
Don't forget blog candy...
The weather is feelin' like spring here, so I thought this image would be a cute one to use! I used my Copics to color it and chalked some clouds in the background. Also, added some Crystal Effects to the water to give it a shiny look. Got this fabulous sketch here.Flipped the sketch and carried it through to the inside. I left off the embellishments so it wouldn't be too bulky.
Supplies:
- Image: Penny Black
- Paper: Me & My Big Ideas, CS-SU
- Colors: Copics, Colored Pencils, Chalks
- Embellishments: Brads-Spare Parts, Flowers-American Crafts & other
- Accessories: SU Crystal Effects, Machine Stitching
